The Grand Rapids Public Utilities will be flushing fire hydrants and water mains in the City of LaPrairie on Wednesday, September 13, 2023. Some customers may notice colored water the following morning. The colors will range from red to black. If colored water appears, run your cold water until your service line clears itself. If colored water problems persist, please contact their office at 218–326-7024. They will make every effort to keep discolorations to a minimum, and apologize for any inconvenience. The flushing is necessary for proper maintenance of our distribution system. Thank you for your cooperation!
